Singaporeans, Help Us Achieve 1000 Qurbans in 2025 to Directly Benefit the people of Gaza, Palestine!

01 June 2025 Update:

We’ve been in close coordination with our partner, Smart Qurban International (SQI), to assess the evolving ground situation.

Although some livestock has entered Gaza, the quantity allocated to our team is limited, and prices have surged beyond sustainable levels due to extreme demand and logistical constraints.

After careful deliberation and weighing all options, SQI has made the difficult but necessary decision to carry out slaughter operations in Egypt instead — to safeguard the Qurban fulfilment and ensure meat is still delivered to Gaza, insyaAllah.

We have prepared an FAQ covering key concerns to further explain the impact of the above decision:

1. What caused the sudden change in Qurban operations for Gaza?
In the last 72 hours, there was an unforeseen market shock due to a rapid escalation in regional demand and disruptions in animal supply. This led to sheep prices in Gaza skyrocketing beyond projected and sustainable thresholds.

2. What is the new operational plan?
To ensure operational feasibility while maintaining impact, the livestock procurement and slaughter operations have been relocated from Gaza to Egypt.

3. Where will the Qurbani animals be sourced and slaughtered?
All Qurbani animals will now be sourced and slaughtered in Egypt.

4. How will the meat be delivered to Gaza?
Immediately after slaughter, the meat will be frozen and transported into Gaza using refrigerated trucks.

5. Who will handle the distribution within Gaza?
SQI’s field teams in Gaza will oversee all ground distribution to ensure meat reaches the intended beneficiaries.

6. Will there be any change in pricing due to this new arrangement?
Yes, the revised operational approach incurs an incremental cost of USD $20 per livestock.

7. Will customers need to pay this additional cost?
No. SQI has made the internal decision to fully absorb this additional cost to ensure your campaigns continue without disruption.

8. Does this change affect the impact or beneficiaries of the Qurban?
No. Although the slaughter now takes place in Egypt, the meat will still be delivered and distributed to the people of Gaza. The core impact remains unchanged.

This decision was made to uphold the integrity of your orders, preserve campaign continuity, and ensure the Qurban reaches intended recipients.

Alhamdulillah, we are working with Smart Qurban International who are managing operations for livestock management of sheep in Gaza, Palestine. 

What You Will Get:

1) Photos/Videos of Qurban

Due to the crisis situation and ground realities in Gaza, Palestine, obtaining individual Qurban photos may not be feasible. However, we will endeavour to obtain general Qurban and Distribution photos to be shared with you, similar to the collage above. 

2) A certificate of Qurban Completion with your name on it:

Qurban Communication and Updates:

Our primary communication with you will be on Whatsapp. Kindly ensure that you key in a valid phone number with Whatsapp during your checkout process. (we will fall back to email should we discover that an invalid number or Whatsapp is not available)

We will update you on 3 main occasions:

• When the Qurban is expected to take place
• When the Qurban is completed so you may stop the Sunnah observance (eg. cut your nail and hair)
• Issuance of Photos and Digital Certificate (this will be approximately 3-4 week after the Qurban is completed as we require some time to gather and organize the media from the ground)
