Qurban / Korban means sacrifice. The act of Qurban, by the slaughtering of a goat, sheep, cow or camel, is considered an act of worship (ibadah) to Allah (SWT). The Qurban is performed during the 3 days of Tashreeq on 11,12 and 13 Zulhijjah, with the intention to distribute the portions of the meat to the poor and needy, as one of the ways to celebrate Eidul Adha.

This year (2025), 10 Zulhijjah falls on the 7 June 2025 and Qurban is allowed to be performed up till the 3rd Tasyrik day, 10 June 2025.

According to Islamic Law, performing the Qurban is a Sunnah Mu'akkadah (one which the Prophet SAW almost never abandons) for those who can afford it, and one which will be immensely rewarded by Allah (SWT).
