Endorsement By Governor of Tek Chu District, Kampot Province, Cambodia
Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim,
On 18 February 2025, the Al Hilal Ummah Services team travelled to Cambodia for a meaningful recce trip. Our mission? To plan for the upcoming Wisata Qurban 2025 and to strengthen our long-standing ties with our trusted partners on the ground.

Al Hilal has been collaborating with our partners in Cambodia for the past four years on various community-impact projects — from Qurban, Infaq and Waqaf of water pumps, mosque building initiatives, to flood relief efforts and beyond. These projects have been made possible through the unwavering support and generosity of our clients and contributors.
At the heart of these efforts is Dr Roset, a dedicated and capable coordinator who ensures every initiative is executed with transparency and integrity. He plays a crucial role in upholding the amanah entrusted to us, ensuring that the aid reaches those who need it most.
A Warm Welcome & Endorsement by the Governor of Tek Chu District
A highlight of our trip was the opportunity to meet Mr. M Chansen, the Governor of Tek Chu District, who warmly welcomed us and received updates on the various projects Al Hilal has supported in the Kampot region.
Thanks to Dr Roset’s arrangements, this meeting resulted in an official endorsement of our work, which the Governor publicly shared on his official Facebook page.
Alhamdulillah, the Governor expressed his appreciation for the positive impact we’ve made in the community and encouraged us to continue our mission. This recognition not only reaffirms our efforts but also opens new doors for future collaborations. It assures our clients and supporters that Al Hilal’s work in Cambodia is conducted through official and proper channels, with local support and oversight.
Preparing for Wisata Qurban 2025
Another key objective of the trip was to conduct a full recce of the Qurban locations in preparation for our upcoming Wisata Qurban 2025 — a unique, immersive experience where participants will witness their Qurban being performed live and observe the distribution of meat to local village communities in need.

Insha Allah, we aim to bring up to 40 participants from Singapore on this journey — one filled with purpose, connection, and reflection.
And yes — we didn’t leave Cambodia without a bit of fun too! We wrapped up our visit with a stop at the Phnom Penh Central Market, where we picked up souvenirs and treats to bring home to our families. Don’t worry — this shopping stop is definitely part of the Wisata itinerary!

What’s Next?
Now that we’re back in Singapore, we’re getting down to the exciting task of finalising plans for Wisata Qurban 2025. We hope you’ll be part of this special journey with us.
Please keep us in your duas, and stay tuned — we’ll be opening registration soon, Insha Allah!
With gratitude,
The Al Hilal Ummah Services Team
